On 14-17th of June 2010 in the Congress Centre of Lublin Medical University the 7th International Symposium on Chromatography of Natural Products was held. One of the exhibitors was Research and Development Centre NOVASOME. A four-day conference consisted of a series of scientific speeches that led to an interesting discussion. The symposium made it possible for the participants to exchange insights and experiences. The participants came from all around the world from countries such as: Botswana, Mongolia, Thailand, China, Greece, Portugal, France, Norway, Austria, Germany and Poland. The conference agenda covered method presentation used in the analysis of natural products, including the application of modern chromatographic methods in their phytochemical analysis and biological and pharmacological tests. The last day of the conference was the most promising because of the debate that was to be held that day. The discussion covered the subject of the future of natural medicinal products in the European Union. The discussion was attended by pharmaceutical industry professionals and experts of the European Medicines Agency and the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products and Medical Devices and Biocides.
